The Common App Workshop 2024
Registration Deadline: September 3, 2024
Online Common App Writing Lab: September 15, 2024
Online sessions with LAS Coach September 16 – October 21, 2024
The LAS Common App Workshop is designed for rising high school seniors who will benefit from a structured approach to essay writing. It is one of the most popular LAS programs.
The Common App Workshop focuses on personal essay writing and editing for on-time submission of the Common Application (essays and supplementals). The Common App Workshop combines 1 group meeting (2-4 students) and 3 one-on-one coaching sessions with the LAS Common App Coach.
The Common App Workshop is a collaborative online classroom that provides a realistic framework for personal essay writing. One-on-one coaching sessions focus on personal writing goals and structured essay completion. Between coaching sessions, there is designated time for proofreading and editing support by the LAS Common App Coach.
- Students will work through the writing process with confidence as they focus on selecting a prompt, drafting, and editing their essays.
- Students will write a meaningful narrative capturing their stories for admission consideration.
Additional one-on-one coaching sessions are available at a workshop rate, pending coach availability. All meetings conclude by October 21, 2024, to ensure on-time submission of the Common App. When the registration form is completed, signed, and submitted, payment is processed. At that time, LAS sends an email to confirm registration and introduce families to their LAS Coach. This email will also initiate scheduling for one-on-one coaching sessions.
