One-on-one test prep with LAS Coach, Kweku Bentum, M.S.

What is the PSAT? The PSAT, or Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test is offered several times each October. Administered by high schools during sophomore and junior years, students tend to think of it as practice for the SAT. But if you are a junior in high school, the PSAT is also the qualifying exam for the National Merit Scholarship.

What is the Crash Course? LAS Programming includes annual Crash Courses that prepare students for upcoming standardized tests. The Crash Course provides time-sensitive test preparation for students new to the test or in need of a refresher. During the online workshop, the Crash Course instructor introduces students to each section of the PSAT, reviewing high-yield content, proven test-taking strategies, and time for practice and Q+A.

The LAS Crash Course for PSAT preparation combines one online workshop (2-5 students) with one-on-one coaching for individual test prep. In the days following the workshop, each student meets with LAS Coach Kweku Bentum, MS for a one-on-one session to support individual learning goals. Additional one-on-one sessions are available at a workshop rate, pending coach availability. All coaching sessions for PSAT preparation conclude by October 24, 2024.

Who is Kweku?

Kweku Bentum, MS is a skilled academic coach. Kweku coaches and tutors LAS students at many levels, including K-12, higher education, and medical school.  He is an experienced LAS Test Prep Coach who designs and implements successful small-group workshops and one-on-one coaching sessions.

Kweku’s academic and professional background includes strengths in mathematics and the physical sciences.  He is an insightful educator who recognizes the importance of one-on-one support and collaboration.
