ACT Scoring

Scoring for the ACT is fairly simple in comparison to some of the other standardized tests. Each section of the ACT is scored on a 1 to 36 point scale. Your composite ACT score is the average of each of the four section scores. If you take the Writing Test, you’ll receive a separate writing score for that section. The highest score that a student can receive is 36 and the average ACT score is 21.

    The LAS Hybrid Workshop

The LAS Hybrid Workshop is a comprehensive online test prep course that begins approximately three months before a national test date. It combines weekly group sessions with one-on-one coaching and offers one of the most effective test prep options.

During the registration period, students complete an initial one-on-one meeting to clarify their test prep goals and implement a pretest to establish a baseline from which to measure progress. Students are taught how to use error analysis for test prep planning and receive a personal plan with measurable goals and access to their LAS Planner/Tracker.

Weekly group sessions follow a section-by-section format to introduce content and test-taking skills with time for practice. Content is prioritized from highest to lowest yield and includes skill development with proven test-taking strategies to promote test readiness. Content and process modifications are provided as needed.

One-on-one coaching offers structure, support, and accountability with time for individual practice, review, and Q+A. LAS Test Prep Coaches assign weekly practice goals to deepen content knowledge and hone test-taking skills. They emphasize recall practice with spaced repetition and use weekly assessments followed by self-reflective strategies to track progress and enhance achievement outcomes.

Group sessions and one-on-one coaching provide time to practice, ask questions, and get real-time answers. The LAS Hybrid Workshop includes:

    • Small group instruction with proven test prep strategies
